Quick Actions
Quick Actions let you press one shortcut for one special dictation. They are useful when you want your next result to be different, without changing your normal Profile.
When to use Quick Actions
Use Profiles for the way you usually write. Use a Quick Action for one exception.
For example, you can make one reply more concise, write one support response in a saved style, or record one plain transcription.
Built-in options
- Plain Dictation records your words without rewriting them.
- Default Profile uses your Default Profile for one dictation.
Built-in Quick Actions start turned off and do not have shortcuts. To use one, edit it, add a shortcut, then turn it on from the three-dot menu.
Create your own
Open Quick Actions
Open Settings > Quick Actions and click New Quick Action....
Name it and choose a Writing Style
Enter a short name, then choose the Writing Style you want.
Assign a shortcut
Choose the keyboard shortcut you want to press for this Quick Action.
Click Save. Your new Quick Action is ready to use right away.
Turn one on or off
Open the three-dot menu on a Quick Action row, then choose Enable or Disable.
If Stirae needs more information, it opens the Quick Action so you can finish it.
If a shortcut is unavailable
This usually means another Stirae shortcut already uses those keys. Choose a different shortcut and try again.
During recording
When a Quick Action is active, Stirae shows its name while you record. After that dictation finishes, Stirae goes back to your usual settings.
Manage Quick Actions
Use the row menu to edit, duplicate, disable, or remove a custom Quick Action.
Removing a Quick Action does not delete the Writing Style it used. If you delete a Writing Style that a Quick Action used, Stirae turns that Quick Action off until you choose a new Writing Style.
